Another productive week

I think hubby might be dreading his weeks home because we always have so much to do. This week started off nice and quiet but soon got quite busy.

Friday afternoon after our usual "outing lunch" after picking him up from the airport we came home for him to mow the lawn! That night he was meant to go out but when he got to his mate's place he wasn't home so he chatted with his folks for a bit and turned around and drove home.

Saturday we pottered in the garden - some weeding, removing grape vine stumps etc - before heading off to Bunnings and the video store. Of course, a trip to Bunnings is never complete unless you buy lots more than you intended and we came home with quite a few plants to plant out the next morning. Thankfully the kids were in bed quickly and we got to watch our movie before having a fairly early night.

Sunday was more gardening - planting out strawberries, passion fruit and some tomato seedlings (50c a punnet!) before we headed off to visit friends and have some fun attempting a photo shoot! It was a beautiful day so being outdoors was just the thing

Monday was just one frantic blur! Hubby had a medical so we had to drop him off there for 9.40 and then I had arranged to catch up with a friend. Hubby then announced that he also had a business meeting which would take about an hour. At 1.30 he was finally finished! Oh well, it was possibly a new client so I'm keeping everything crossed. We then raced home to rest the girls up before rushing out again for Ashleigh's gymnastics at 3.50

Tuesday... kindy and more pottering at home - front garden to weed this time. I can only do it when there is someone else to watch the kids as there is nothing to stop them going onto the road and we are on a fairly busy little street (with plenty of hoons flying past) It was really nice to be able to focus on something other than the kids and enjoy the sunshine. Then it was off for a hair cut and back in time for kindy pick up!

Wednesday was kindy again and then home to finish off the front garden weeding. Gabriella was delighted to be allowed to play in the car while both hubby and I worked on the garden. Thankfully we managed to get it done with time up our sleeves. Unfortunately, not enough time to get the whipper snipper out and finish fully but its near enough. We picked Ashleigh up from kindy and headed for Ikea (couldn't go without her as she loves Smaland) We finally got our new bookcase! YAY!

Of course... being at Ikea and that close to the new Pumpkin Patch outlet we HAD to go and have a look... came out with a bag of stuff again but not an easy place to get around with a pram or small children - far too congested with racks of clothing.

At home we put together last Ikea trips purchase - my kitchen trolley (extra bench space) and then called it a night with the intent of getting onto the bookcase Thursday....

Thursday - kindy again and then off to check mailbox and stop off at party supply shop (another place you don't want to take prams or too many children). We managed to get the last few bits and pieces that we needed for Gabriella's party and then on again to the shopping centre for some things. Stopped in at Toys R Us for some catalogue items and of course - NOT IN STOCK! We know they had plenty on Friday of last week though as we were in there looking before we got the catalogue. So frustrating and a total waste of time, especially when the staff serve 3 other customers when they go to find out if they have the product for you. We waited 15 mins so left in quite a hurry to get back in time for kindy pick up

The rest of the day is a blur of going back to the shops after lunch/rest time adn getting the bookcase made!

Somewhere in amongst all of that we cleaned up the outdoor area and killed about 10 redback spiders. Of course, this has been a week where Stephi decided sleep at night really was a touch over-rated so we're all even more exhausted due to that.

I've promised hubby that next time he's home, after the initial chaos of organising and holding Gabriella's party, we will have a quiet week..... The time after that we're away so must make the most of the opportunities that we have
