when you start a post to talk about poo, toilets and toilet training!
Its been quite some months now since I thought Miss G had started to make progress in the toilet training department. Then things happened and we forgot to work on it. I stopped putting the potty out where she was playing, the weather was too cool for her to do nudey runs etc etc - the excuses could go on forever.
Anyway, it would seem that hte result of that is poo denial. As I type this I can actually smell her nappy but I've asked her and she flat out refuses that her nappy is dirty. Its infuriating.
I know its not fair to compare kids BUT her big sister had barely had a dirty nappy for 10 months by this age. She started being TT for poo at 14 months! And all of her own accord. Seems that she disliked the dirty feeling a whole lot more than her little sister.
I know I need to get focussed again and make sure we're doing everything possible to help her train because she was showing signs of being ready but its just not happening.
In the meantime it would seem (touch wood) that we finally have someone else night trained. Its been a very long process and again I've not been pushing it. I've just let it go and suddenly it would seem something has clicked for her. This week she's had 3 pull ups for overnight. She has worn them each at least 2 nights and then they've gone out because they were ragged rather than wet. The last 2 nights she has been in knickers and woken up dry. I'm so proud of her and she's pretty chuffed iwth herself. I just really hope it continues
And the third one with nappies.... I think she's nearly ready to go up into mediums already! Her next up sister only went into mediums a month or so ago and here she is nearly into them at just over 4 months! Just proves what deliciously chubby thighs she has
