February already

Its amazing to think that yet another month is upon us - the month I've wanted to hurry up and come but also to drag in coming at the same time. In just 2 days our little girl starts kindy. Unbelievable that its nearly here after all that early confusion on when she would start

I still have a heap of stuff to do to get organised for her starting but I'm getting there. At least her school dress is in being washed as I type this! Second time through because it still feels REALLY starchy. I think I'll put it through the dryer to see if that helps to soften in....

I am finding it very hard to get motivated today and yet I know I have a heap of things to do. I guess a good starting point would be to list them all!

* Pack bags for daycare/work tomorrow
* Get washing through and dry.... 35 degree top predicted today so not sure about hanging it all out!
* Set up spare bedroom for mum - just need to make the bed now
* Prepare dinner for tomorrow night - the plan is tuna pasta bake
* Tidy and clean house.... clean might not happen but a quick sweep should suffice
* Label clothing, bag, hat etc for kindy
* Business work to do - invoice etc etc when hubby sends time sheet through
* Shredding documents... laundry basket FULL!


I know there is more but I just can't think at the moment. After a late night out (home around 9.30) both girls went straight to sleep only for A to wake at 2am a bit upset and confused. I spent ages in there trying to settle her and she kept telling me she "doesn't know how" to get back to sleep etc. I know that it was mostly pure exhaustion but it was awful to listen to. Thankfully I eventually managed to her to lay down again and stroked and drew on her back until she was dozy again. Luckily G stirred but settled again without fully waking. I had a restless night anyway with being sore from sitting on the ground and getting up and down at the beach! It was a lovely evening though so definitley worth it

So, I guess I had better start tackling my list!
